Mr. Conrad joined AMS in 1987 as a technical and operations consultant. He brings an extensive background in aircraft management to the AMS team. His proven track record and thirty-five years of experience have been instrumental in guiding the company's technical and operational consulting activities.
His aviation career began in 1964 with the United States Air Force. During his four-year tour of duty he was assigned primarily to large transport aircraft as a Technical Line Chief, supervising crews of up to 30 maintenance personnel. After his separation from the Air Force in 1969, he earned his Airframe and Power-plant license from the Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
During his aviation career, he has directed the maintenance departments of several corporate flight operations, aircraft charter operations and two airline operations. He has an extensive background in scheduling and maintenance and has managed the construction of several commercial aircraft hangar facilities. He also has a proven track record and background in FAR Part 91,121, and 135 operations.
Mr. Conrad is rated as an Airline Transport Pilot and type-rated in several jet aircraft. He has logged more than 8,700 hours and is current and qualified in the Cessna Citation 500 series. He is also a licensed Airframe and Power-plant Technician with inspection authorization. Mr. Conrad's background as a director of maintenance, director of operations, line mechanic, and chief pilot provide him with a scope of qualifications rarely found in one individual.
