H. Lee Rohde III
President
Lee currently serves as President for Aviation Management Systems, Inc. (AMS), located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He joined AMS in April of 2005. Lee brings over 25 years of experience in financial and operational analysis, manufacturing, distribution and corporate business development to AMS where he advises aviation-related clients on a wide range of financial, operational, management and strategic planning matters.
Lee has worked with a wide range of AMS' clients in providing analysis of their current flight operations, audits and management reviews of both internal and third party flight departments and charter management companies. Lee has worked with all the major fractional programs representing clients in the acquisition, re-purchase by the program provider and sale of various fractional shares to third parties. Additionally, Lee has managed several pre-purchase inspections and new aircraft completions of various aircraft types, and also managed the exportation and importation of aircraft on and off the United States and various foreign registries.
Lee is a member in good standing of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), National Aircraft Finance Association (NAFA), Helicopter Association International (HAI), European Business Aviation Association (EBAA), and the Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association (AOPA). Lee is currently an active member of the Robb Report Corporate Aviation Advisory Board and was a previous member of both the NARA Associate Member Advisory Council and the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining AMS, Lee was a co-founder of Londavia, Inc., (now AmSafe Bridport) a multi-national distribution company servicing the business and commercial aviation industry with offices in the United States, United Kingdom and Singapore.
In 1982 Lee entered active duty with the United States Air Force serving as a computer and switching systems specialist on SACCS (Strategic Air Command and Control System) communications system. During his service he carried a top secret security clearance and achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant prior to his honorable discharge in 1986.
Lee is an experienced pilot and holds an MBA and BA in Economics from the Whittemore School of Business & Economics, University of New Hampshire.
